About the Program

From day one as a Coles graduate, you’ll feel the connection your work has to our purpose, to ‘sustainably feed all Australians to help them lead healthier, happier lives’, and be accountable for decisions that can make a meaningful difference to communities and our supply chains across Australia.

Our Store Support Centre (SSC), based in Hawthorn East in Melbourne, is the engine room of Coles Group and a dynamic and rewarding place to work.

Why become a Coles Graduate

At Coles, we understand that when you’re included, trusted and supported by leaders who genuinely care, you can do your best work for the team feeling like you belong.

During the two-year program, you’ll be working on real deliverables with clear ownership and accountability as you learn and grow through functional rotations, a tailored development program and a tight-knit support network. You’ll also have the opportunity to work in cross-functional groups to complete an Innovation Project, where the top teams present to our Executive team on a real business challenge.

We will support your passion and graduate journey with experiences and opportunities, with each rotation expanding your knowledge as you continue to discover Coles and yourself.

Discover our Engineering & Logistics Function Options:

Our Engineering and Manufacturing team work hard to ensure that the Coles facilities are running at an optimum level, as well as continuously developing processes to improve efficiency and performance across the board.

As an E&M Graduate, you will be exposed to world-class engineering practices and cutting-edge technologies and large-scale (automation) manufacturing machinery. Grads will have the opportunity to be a part of two sites - One site is highly automated with robotics, with state-of-the-art equipment, that is constantly looking to improve its performance and efficiency. The other site is at the beginning if its life cycle and is introducing new equipment and robotics and creating new systems and procedures.

Our Export team leverage our Australian heritage, retailing pedigree and ‘Own Brand Powerhouse’ to provide the best quality Meat, Liquor, Fresh Produce, Dairy and Grocery items to our global partners.

The international market is highly dynamic, leading to countless variables in creating the best international offering. It is this pursuit of the best offer that is the most rewarding aspect of working in the Export team. Export graduates will work closely with our Meat teams and our new Shanghai office to export our meat products to Asia.

Our Supply Chain team oversee the production and distribution of our products across hundreds of sites each day. We collaborate across the whole business, consulting central teams and subject matter experts, to monitor and manage product availability and ‘Delivery in Full on Time’ (DIFOT) for key categories. This overlaps with the work we do with our suppliers, arranging inbound plans and production.

Supply Chain Grads experience a wide breadth of development opportunities, such as owning end-to-end projects and being responsible for new line forecasting, promotional planning and analysing the impacts of global and seasonal events.

If you want to achieve big things and fast track your career, APPLY NOW!

Eligibility Criteria:

  • You’ll be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or hold a permanent residency at the time of application
  • For our Store Support Centre Graduate Program, you’ll have completed a bachelor's degree before commencing the program.
