Order new merchandise for an upcoming expo. Head to the marketing storeroom to pull together any leftover show bags and our media kit. Yay – the first drafts of a recent photo/film shoot have come through. Time to review the material, collate the team’s feedback and annotate the visuals. Now back to that copywriting. Done - off to legal for review.

8.30 AM
I question why revolving doors exist. Swipe my pass and head up to level 16. Settle in at my desk and greet my fellow desk-neighbours good morning. Check my calendar for the day ahead and begin sorting through emails.

Provide updates on my projects, raise any issues and ask any questions required to help me churn out my work for the day. Re-prioritise my to-do list to fit in the new tasks assigned to me. Discuss the upcoming quarterly ‘team day’ and pitch team-bonding activities from paint & sip workshops to the ‘Melbourne Amazing Race’.

11:00 AM
Earphones in, podcast on. Time to get on salesforce marketing cloud and send out today’s eDMs. Done! Next up, copywriting for an upcoming social competition. Pause that – I should complete the media and creative briefs for our upcoming acquisition campaign before we meet with the agency this afternoon.
