After getting hired into the intern program at Rheinmetall, your first few days in the onboarding process involved a lot of induction, which included learning about the company's history and their projects. After the initial week of induction, you will likely to be assigned to the office with other engineers and was given projects right away. Senior engineers provided an introduction to these projects, and you will be started working on them. Rheinmetall had a supportive environment with mentors and colleagues who were always willing to help and answer questions if any problems arose.
