About you
Entry into our life-changing Leadership Development Program isn’t competitive – but it is selective.
We are looking for a certain kind of person to join our mission. Do you have:
- Leadership potential: You feel happiest when inspiring and motivating others.
- Resilience: You thrive when you’re learning new things and stepping outside of your comfort zone.

If this sounds like you, then you have the potential to find your purpose and be a great teacher with the Leadership Development Program.
Our culture
What makes the Leadership Development Program unique?
We hear it again and again: community.
Teach For Australia places Associates exclusively in schools serving low-socioeconomic communities, working in places that need the most support.
Metro, rural, regional or remote – schools are community superchargers, and when you join the program, you become an embedded and active part of the whole.
This includes joining our thriving network of 1,600 Alumni: an engaged, diverse and driven cohort of people and leaders committed to making change.
We try where possible to place Associates in the same school or a short drive away. This has created buzzing LDP communities right across Australia – your new mentors, friends, allies and cheerleaders, ready to help you step into your role.
We are proud of the diversity of our cohorts: the most recent Leadership Development Program is made up of Associates from 35 different cultural backgrounds; 44% were the first in their family to graduate from University; and 40% are from regional or remote communities.
We are committed to recruiting diverse Associates, with diverse life experiences, who reflect the communities in which we work.
If community is what you crave, the Leadership Development Program will give you fulfilling relationships and connections for life.
Join us. Make inspiring your day job.
